The New Millennium Park

We are out for Spring Break this week.
Tristan is taking a Life Guarding course at SPAR in Sulphur.

Today the rest of us went to Millennium Park with our friends, the Laracuentes.
The park re-opened this past Saturday and is very, very nice.
It has a splash pad, a walking path, and lots of new and fun places to play.

After we dropped Tristan at SPAR, we went to get some things for a picnic
and then met the Laracuentes at the park.  This is one of the areas that Savannah and I worked on when we helped rebuild the park after it burned down.

The little boys love to swing, so we spent most of our time in the tot lot with them
while the bigger kids ran all over exploring.

Savannah with Aliana and Ethan with Jalil.

We love the Laracuentes, but we don't get to see them as often as we would like.
They live in Sulphur and with us going to church in Jennings, we don't cross paths much anymore.
We were so excited when Alison called and made this date with us.

We had a blast, even though it was chilly and windy.  Can't wait to see them again,
and can't wait to go back to Millennium Park and get our splash on when it warms up a bit!
