Jackson is in the bathroom with me as I am getting ready. I am blow-drying my hair when the knock-knock jokes start. Jackson loves knock-knock jokes.
Jackson: Knock-Knock.
Me: Who's there?
Jackson: Fan.
Me: Fan who?
Jackson: Fan.....dryer.
We both laugh hysterically.
My turn. Me: Knock-Knock.
Jackson: Who's there?
Me: Pickle.
Jackson: Pickle who?
Me: Pickle Juice.
We both laugh hysterically.
Jackson: Knock-knock.
Me: Who's there?
Jackson: Towel.
Me: Towel who?
Jackson: Towel.....shampoo.
We both laugh hysterically.
It's becoming obvious to me that he is looking around the bathroom and finding things to make jokes about. We go back and forth like this for a while with jokes about the toilet, sink, light, and other things he sees in the room. I dry and style my hair, put on make-up, and find my shoes. My jokes are even lamer than his. He laughs like crazy each time.
Then I say: Knock-knock.
Jackson: Who's there?
Me: Jackson.
Jackson: Jackson who?
Me: Jackson Kai Andrews.
I laugh hysterically.
He just looks at me and says, "Uhhh! That is NOT even funny."
Well, excuse me. I thought it was pretty good.
We keep playing.
Jackson: Knock-Knock
Me: Who's there?
Jackson: Bottom.
Me: Bottom who?
Jackson: Bottom.....tub.
We laugh hysterically.
My laugh is more genuine this time. That boy really does crack me up!
