Today, at the wrestling tournament at Comeaux High School.
Painted on the wall in the women's bathroom in the gym:
"Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it."
And on the back of a wrestler's shirt:
God. Wrestling. What else is there?

Easter Party--MDO Style
Yesterday morning was the Mother's Day Out Easter Party.
The four year-old goodies were ready and waiting.
The three year-old class was ready too.
This is Mathilda, who goes by Tilly. She is in Jackson's class.
I absolutely adored her spring outfit! Especially her Easter Egg hat.
Me and the boys waiting for the dads to find awesome hiding places for all the eggs.
None of my kids have ever been in too much of a hurry to find eggs at events like this, and these two seem to be following right along in that tradition. The two of them together found only 12 eggs, but they were excited with their goods. After the hunt, we went inside and ate yummy Easter snacks.
Mother's Day Out let out after the party for Spring Break.
Teacher Appreciation
Last night was the Lake Charles's Ward
Ninth Annual Teacher Appreciation Program and Dinner.
The theme this year was "Thank you for helping us Choose The Right."
We were bummed that none of Ethan's, Jackson's, or Holden's teachers could come.
But this year they held it on a Wednesday, which makes it hard for those who go to their own church services that night to come to one at ours.
Tristan had three teachers show.
Sarun Wamsley, Gifted English
Brenda DeFelice, Gifted Geometry and Gifted Algebra II
Terry Gould, Band
Savannah with her French teacher, Mr. Hounnou.
Savannah with her Science teacher, Mrs. Marcantel (left).
Savannah's Home Ec teacher who could not come, but sent this message to us:
So sorry, I will not be there. I have other obligations on Wednesday night.
BUT, please pass along the word to Savannah Andrews's parents that I love, love, love her.
She is a joy to teach. Thank you, Renee' LaRocque

The dinner was salad, rolls, Cajun chicken with rice and gravy, corn and green beans.
We love all our teachers so much and are so grateful for all they do for our kids and for our family.

Bear Cubs
~ From Friday, February 8 ~
Last night was Pack 22 Blue and Gold Banquet.
Our Den was in charge of the flag ceremony.
From left to right: Ethan, Carson, Keegan, and Nathan.
Before the opening flag ceremony.
After the closing flag ceremony.
Since we only have four boys in our Den, Carson's older brother, Quinten, was the caller for us.
We ate gumbo and cake.
After dinner we played carnival games.
Ping pong ball toss into a fish bowl, throwing darts at balloons, and ring toss were among the games we played. Below is Ethan trying to toss the ping pong into the bowl.
All of my Cubs earned their Bear badges last night.
Ethan also earned two progress beads, a Gold Arrow Point, and two Silver Arrow Points.

One Moment in Time
Just for one moment, they were being sweet and quiet.
They were "camping" with their buddies and reading stories together.
They laid on the floor for a long time together before they were tearing off
through the house to their next adventure!

Pardon Me
Do you have any Grey Poupon?
Savannah had a sub sandwich and was delighted to discover that her mustard was just that!
Even though she hates the stuff and would never ruin her sandwich with such a foul condiment, she was thrilled to have found this little treasure in her box.
So, I guess next time someone knocks on Savannah's limo window, she'll be prepared.
